Watch their cider makers at work through a floor-to-ceiling glass wall while sampling a free tasting of the award-winning hard ciders. Then enjoy a glass of cider and “apple-tisers” (e.g., cheese board, soft pretzel, ham sliders) from the kitchen on their decks and terraces above the Rockfish River. The mountain views are beautiful. Visitors can bring a picnic lunch, although ABC laws don’t permit any outside alcohol to be consumed.
On cidery tours you can hear the Bold Rock story, see the apple press where they crush tons of local apples, and watch the bottling line in operation. Indoors there are comfortable seating and three fireplaces for those chilly days. Check out the Cider Museum. Tastings, tours, food, and fun! Come “Drink in the Scenery.”
